Dundurn Castle

Dundurn Castle in Hamilton was built in the mid 1830's by Sir Allan Napier MacNab. The house is a huge Italianate structure overlooking Bulington Bay. There is a Victorian vegetable garden on the grounds that have been restored to the date 1855.

I designed a corner of this garden, which sits under a massive Maple tree. This shady area would not have been part of the original vegetable garden, so the design is accurate for the period and is not part of the restoration project.
