Design and Planning:
Meetings with the client define the boundaries of the design. The design can be as large as 5 acres or as small as 20’ x 20’. It could involve a complete re-vamping of the landscape or only a re-organization of existing elements. We can plan for future needs of the family such as; safety for children or mobility issues for aging relatives. Mistakes are always cheaper to make on paper! The design process allows the client the opportunity to experiment without committing to any changes in their landscape.

Drawings and Illustrations:
A full scale plan with plant list is always given to the client at the end of the design process. This gives contractors the information they need to produce detailed cost estimates. In situations where the client cannot visualize the plan or they want to see several options, we produce a series of coloured drawings to illustrate our ideas.

Project Management:
This prevents mistakes! A qualified person on-site at the appropriate times can prevent the wrong tree being taken down, the wrong plant material being installed, and the wrong stone being used. It also means that someone is available to the considerate contractor who wants to do the job right.

Consultation:
This is mainly related to accessibility and historical design. The client may just need to have a design checked for accessibility or for historical accuracy. They may need to find information or they may need to find historically accurate materials.

Small Installations:
In some cases, the projects are too small for a typical landscape contractor; in those cases we will install shrub and perennial beds or relocate treasured plant material.
